NOMAD – Integrated Network for Seamless and Transparent Service Discovery

NOMAD develops and demonstrates a middleware capable of seamlessly integrating available and future heterogeneous and homogenous network technologies (i.e. UMTS, HiperLAN2), as well as Internet-compatible, multi-hop ad-hoc networks into a single integrated network platform. Temagon is the project manager of NOMAD and is also responsible for the potential commercial exploitation of its results.

HOMETALK - A Voice Enabled Residential Automation & Networking Platform

HOMETALK develops an advanced residential environment, set-up as an ideal, always connected, internet- and voice-enabled Home, with a central unit and spatially dispersed interfaces for controlling appliances and automating everyday tasks. Voice interface capability in the residential gateway/controller (RG) and vocal interaction via any indoor/outdoor network through ordinary telephone lines, wireless microphones or emerging voice-over-broadband and the Internet are included. Temagon is responsible for a trial in Greece, which will take place in two schools in Athens and ten private homes. A similar trial will also take place in Spain, coordinated by Telefonica.

REPOSIT – Real Time Dynamic Bandwidth Optimisation In Satellite Networks

REPOSIT defines, implements, demonstrates and validates a spectrum efficient interactive satellite (DVB-S) network, using real time dynamic management of the available bandwidth, for supporting a variety of heterogeneous bit rate services, like interactive TV, Internet and multimedia services. The network will be used for the interconnection of terrestrial distribution nodes and will be tested, demonstrated and validated over an actual satellite. Temagon is the project manager of REPOSIT and develops a business plan for exploiting the project's results.

VISIONAIR - Full Service Audio Visual Infrastructure for Metropolitan Access Networks

VISIONAIR integrates, installs and operates four large trials in European cities by advancing existing infrastructure and following a full service convergence approach. The project implements a state of the art service delivery network enabled by next-generation network technologies, with a scope to validate these concepts in real-world trials. The trials are operated by municipalities, in the following cities: Maroussi – Greece, Bari – Italy, Bremen – Germany, Eindhoven – Netherlands. Temagon develops and validates business models to be used in real service deployment and operation.
